Annual event includes an Easter egg hunt and free admission to Audubon Zoo
New Orleans families celebrated Easter at the eighth annual Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office (OPSO) Easter at the Park and Day in the Zoo event Saturday, March 23. Children hunted for Easter eggs at the Audubon Park Riverview, called the "Fly." They also toured fire trucks and competed in potato sack races.
The day was topped off with free admission to the Audubon Park Zoo.
"The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office annual Easter celebration is a time for families to spend quality time together in a fun setting. It's also the perfect time for members of the Sheriff's Office to get to know our community members and neighbors," said Orleans Parish Sheriff Marlin Gusman.
The OPSO partnered with Audubon Institute; Coca-Cola; Elmers; Pontchartrain Chapter of the Links, Inc.; Plush Appeal; New Orleans Fire Department; Sanitation Department; River Parish; Walgreens; and Walmart to host this event.
