Sheriff Marlin N. Gusman hosting 2nd annual fundraiser to benefit Helping Seniors, Inc.

09-15-2011 House Image

In an effort to further the city of New Orleans and it’s recovery after Hurricane Katrina, Sheriff Marlin N. Gusman provided the leadership to sponsor and create Helping Seniors, Inc. The purpose of Helping Seniors, Inc is to address a problem that plagues our community as a result of the Hurricane Katrina and the floods that devastated the area. In the aftermath of Katrina, the Senior Citizens of New Orleans have been exposed to a second and potentially more damaging type of destruction, “CONTRACTOR FRAUD”.
Through Helping Seniors, Inc, Sheriff Gusman has a plan in place to provide financial assistance to those Senior Citizens who have been victimized by unscrupulous contractors.
The program will:
  1. Have a system of reporting the fraud
  2. Investigate and prosecute guilty individuals
  3. Raise monies to disburse to affected individuals

Please join with Sheriff Gusman as we raise money for this worthy cause. The Second Annual Cocktail Fundraiser to aid Senior Citizens who are victims of contractor fraud will be held on:
